Pastor Steve's journey is one of dedication, service, and a profound passion for ministry. Hailing from Tucson, his early life was shaped by diverse interests from rodeo to distance running, followed by service in the Navy's Advanced Electronics Program and a successful career in the IT sector.
Since joining the United Methodist Church in 2002, Pastor Steve has consistently demonstrated a servant's heart. He's held numerous lay positions, from coordinating Habitat for Humanity to leading mission ministries and serving as a Certified Lay Speaker and Lay Leader. His commitment to nurturing faith across generations is evident in his roles as a Sunday school teacher, VBS director, and Dad & Me Camp leader.
For thirteen years, Pastor Steve served on staff at Chandler United Methodist Church as the Director of Children & Youth Ministry and as Lay Person Assigned. He is currently expanding his theological knowledge at Claremont School of Theology. Pastor Steve is fueled by an enthusiastic vision for outreach ministries, a deep commitment to social justice, and a desire to build vibrant intergenerational programs that engage everyone from children to adults. His ultimate goal is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Pastor Steve is married to Lynn and they have a daughter in college.
