Pastor Steve grew up in Tucson and was involved in 4H, FFA, rodeo, distance running and many other sports. He entered the Navy after high school and studied in the Advanced Electronics Program. Steve worked as a telecommunications technician, project manager and operations manager for an IT company. Steve has been married for 35 years to Lynn and they have one daughter in college.

In 2002, Steve became a member at Song of Life United Methodist Church and later transferred to Chandler United Methodist Church. Steve has held many lay positions, which include Habitat for Humanity Ministry Coordinator, Mission Ministry Chairperson, Certified Lay Speaker, Lay Leader, small group leader, Sunday school teacher, vacation bible school director and Dad & Me Camp leader.

Pastor Steve was on staff at Chandler United Methodist Church for thirteen years as the Director of Children & Youth Ministry and most recently as Lay Person Assigned to lead Chandler United Methodist Church. Pastor Steve is continuing his education at Claremont School of Theology. He has a passion for outreach ministry and for making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Pastor Steve is enthusiastic about outreach ministries, social justice and building intergenerational programs, which include children, youth and adult.
